green roof shelters website built with WordPressI’ve just finished working alongside Duncan at Green Roof Shelters to update the site I built for them a couple of years ago. It’s always a joy working with them. As designers themselves they know exactly what they want but leave it to me to find the best way of implementing it.

It’s interesting as well to see how their business has developed since the original launch. How the initial ideas and products have evolved to meet the objective of increasing [or even introducing] biodiversity into some very unhelpful and restricted environments. Also meeting the market requirements in a tight economic situation. They are intended to be combined with other green infrastructure measures. Then the small oases of biodiversity that these products provide can play a significant part in greening urban areas.

Technology Background

I laid out and built the site using the Headway Theme builder on a WordPress base. It especially makes use of a variety of SEO and Social Media plugins. As always, I use iThemes Backupbuddy and Security Pro plugins to protect and preserve the site from potential disasters…
